  • What qualifications do you have?
    AJB Accountancy holds an ACCA Practicing Certificate, more information on ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) can be found at accaglobal.com

  • What type of business can you work on?
    We work on any type of business be it Sole Traders, Partnerships or Limited Companies. These range from established businesses to new start ups about to begin trading

  • I have heared that accountancy fees can spiral out of control, how do I know that this won't happen?
    We offer highly competitive rates and are confident that we will beat any quotation. As part of this we will always arrange fixed fees agreed upfront to ensure that you will know what you will be charged from day one. Reguar reviews will then also take place to ensure that the fee charged isnt excessive

  • What if I need general advice thoughout the year, will this be charged extra?
    No. We are pleased to offer unlimited free advice to our clients, either face to face or over the phone/email at any time of the week

  • Do I have to fill in a self assessment return?
    If you have any earnings coming from a source other than employment (where Pay As You Earn (PAYE) is in place) chances are that you will need to fill out a tax return each year. The tax year runs from 6th April to the following 5th April and the deadline to file a return is the 31st January, although its wise to complete this well in advance of this time! If you are unsure if you need to fill out a return or not please get in touch. We are of course, also happy to help complete the returns for you

  • How regular can you help me with accounts, bookkeeping, payroll, Vat etc?
    We prodive a flexible service that will fit around your needs, monthly, quarterly or annual services are offered along with the flexibility to help over weekends, evenings etc

  • What area do you serve?
    We are based in Brackley but cover all areas around Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Buckinghamshire etc

  • Does it matter what software I use?
    No, most accountancy software is very similar so we should be able to easily work with any system that you have in place from custom software to excel spreadsheets

  • I have made do with using excel for my business finances but now the company is growing I could do with switching to an accountancy package that will better manage my sales, bank, expenditures etc - can you help with setting this up?
    We would be happy to help set up new software be it online 'cloud' software that can be accessed over the internet from any computer, or by coming out to your premises to set up a system and import old data ensuring that you are happy going forward and of course understand how to use the system
